The makers of the vivo S1 are gearing up to introduce two new devices to their existing repertoire this coming January. The first device in the duo is the vivo S series for the Smartphones in India, which will be manufactured by the Samsung-led Samsung Care brand. It has been revealed that the next handset from the duo is expected to be the vivo S90 Pro. Though no firm dates have been given by the Korean-based company as yet, the leaks have indicated that the next handset will be launched around mid-January. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc is expected to be the other new handset from the duo.

The vivo S series from Samsung is believed to have several features in common with its competitor smartphones from the likes of Nokia, HTC etc. The most striking feature of this smartphone is its dual camera system. The rear camera is 16 MP with f/2.2 aperture and can shoot in the mode of Single Shot, Miniature Focus, Continuous shooting and Video mode. The front camera is also having a similar lens and the same camera sensor. There is no noticeable difference between the two cameras apart from the presence of an auto-focus and notification LED.

There is also a rumor that the vivo s1 pro would have similar functionality to the iPhone 5s and also sport the Apple touch sensor. The rumors say that the main camera of the phone will be housing the WiFi sensors, flash, rear LED and fingerprint sensor. The WiFi connectivity will allow users to connect to the internet on the go. The secondary camera will be housing the aperture key, but the sources are speculating whether it will be the standard or the Optic. One thing we can say is that this handset will be equipped with Sony’s Exmor P, which is said to be one of the best smartphone cameras.

Samsung has gone ahead and launched the vivo s1 pro as a global phone in several markets around the world including the Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, China, Philippines and others. There is no word regarding when it will be available in other parts of the world like Europe and the United States. It comes with a price tag of about $250 for the basic model, but this doesn’t mean that there are any compromises in terms of quality and features.
